The fridge I am looking at buying has a height of 69.37 inches.  On another website, the same model says that it is 67.5 inches without the hinge.  Since the hinge does not appear to go under the overhead cabinet, does this mean that the fridge will fit into the space I have, which is 69 inches high?

Possibly,  the hinge is usually only an inch high past the case of the fridge.  3 inches is a bit much...go to the manufacturers website and check there,  they will give you measurement to top of hinge and to top to the case.

Even better soloution would be to stop into your local Future Shop and have the Appliance Associate measure it for you. That way you'll see exactly what you are getting, and how well it will work for you.
