What are the minimum hardware PC requirments to stream hi-def video to my TV.  I have a Gateway 11.6 EC-series ultra portable running an Intel SU3500 Core 2 Solo with integrated graphics and a wirless N card -- will this be sufficient?

Also my TV supports video content (DIVX MPEG4 etc) via USB, I'm curious if there's a way to recieve content wirelessly directly to my TV (i.e. thru a wireless USB dongle)?

I too am interested in capturing HD on my pc.  I bought an ATI TV Wonder HD 650 Dual Tuner USB device from Future Shop this week, but cannot get it to work with my Bell ExpressVu signal because the receiver doesn't have coaxial output.  Am I limited to standard definition via s-video output or is there another device/process I can use?  I am currently using Vista Home Premium and plan to upgrade to Windows 7 next week.  I'd like to take full advantage of multimedia in my home using XBox 360's as media extenders to view content from my pc.

Hi Jamie-

Your system should be able to watch HD content on it, given the size of your screen- you're probably looking at maxing out on 720p content as opposed to 1080p.  The Wireless N connection should be fast enough to stream from a central storage source.

Regarding your TV, your TV would need to support the wireless dongle directly.  The manufacturer of your TV might make a proprietary module that you can add on.  Your other option is to use a DMA (Digital Media Adapter), such as a PS3 or XBOX to store your content and view it.

Question for you guys....

Would using a wireless bridge (to connect my xbox or blu-ray player wirelessly to my router in another room) be faster than using the AC adapter ethernet extenders?
