Hey guys I need some help finding the perfect speakers for my Sony Bravia 52'' LCD HDTV. I have High def HDMI cables for my PS3 and Xbox 360 and now need a kick ass sound system to complete my room. I was thinking maybe a Polk audio system but I have forgotten all options I had in mind when I first bought my TV. If you guys could help recommend me some ideas below the $2000.00 mark it would be very helpful.

Your TV won't power the speakers, so you need a receiver too. If you have a $2,000 budget you should definitely be able to get a receiver and a 5.1 system.
I would go with separates, don't buy an all in one system because the frequency response is not there and you won't get much in the way of realism.
I would look at the Pioneer VSX-519TX receiver which lists at $299.
Then I'd order 5 Axiom M3v2's from Axiom Audio, they're internet direct and their factory is north of Barrie, so they're Canadian. You have 30 days in home trial. They're about $350/pair so 5 would be about $875 and they give 5% off for 5 speakers I think.
Then you're left with about $600 for a sub, so see if you can swing a Martin Logan Dynamo from Future Shop.
Then you'll have a kick ass system.
Remember though, all HDMI cables are high def, a $3 cable performs identically to a $300 one at lengths of 20ft or less.
