Please tell us the make and model of TV you are using. Is your TV capable of "true 1080p", or is its native resolution something less than 1080p?

My Tv is Toshiba 1080P ZV650u 42" 240Hz HD TV and my BLU-Ray player is SAMSUNG BD-P 1500.

In the setup menu for your Blu-ray player, select "Display Options". You will then see a setting for "Resolution" - make sure that setting is set to 1080p and not 1080i.
