what device do you recommend for playing cd's. i want to buy the beatles remastered . thanks

The obviouis answer to your question is that you need a CD player - but that being said, you still have many options:
- portable CD players
- CD players designed to be connected to a sound system
- DVD or Blu-ray players (which are also fully capable of playing CDs)
- the CD/DVD drive built into your computer (which you can use for both listening to the CD, or for copying the music on the CD to your iPod or MP3 player)

My PS3 makes an excellent CD player, can also copy your CDs onto it. Its amazing!
