You cannot get Droid in Canada. Droid is a trade name licensed to Verizon, a US mobile phone company. Furthermore the Motorola Droid is a CDMA phone; no current Canadian cell phone providers will activate this device on their own networks even if you import it from the US.
The equivalent device that works under HSPA is called Motorola Milestone, which is offered by Telus.
As to which one is better (iPhone vs. Milestone), each has its advantage and disadvantages. Perhaps you may like to elaborate your questions or concerns and folks here can better assist you.
