Turn on your Xbox today and you have the opportunity, if you have an Xbox Live account and some Microsoft points to spare (or a credit card to hand), to donate some money to Children's Miracle Network and its 14 hospitals across Canada -- and get some exclusive Xbox themes and picture packs.

Not only that, but if you donate, you can win a chance to participate in a "Game with Fame" experience on Xbox Live, playing against celebrities such as NFL stars, PGA golfers, Juno award winners and Olympic Athletes.

"At Microsoft, we feel privileged to contribute t hospitals across the country. We’ve seen firsthand the impact technology can have through our Child Life Interactive Computers for Kids, or CLICK initiative and are very excited with the launch of Mission 4 Miracles today, mobilizing the generosity of Xbox LIVE Community to help kids," said Eric Gales, President of Microsoft Canada.  "We are putting out a challenge to every gamer in Canada to jump in and join Mission 4 Miracles – every point donated makes an impact."

If you want to help make an impact, you can donate either through your Xbox (as mentioned) or online here . There are ten theme packs created by graffiti artist Patrick Thompson for 160 points, and four picture packs also created by Thompson for 80 points. And the full value of the content, not just a proportion, will go to Children's Miracle Network, so really it's like making a donation and getting the themes for free. If you don't have a credit card and want to pick up some Microsoft points to take part (and I urge you to) you can get them at Future Shop starting at $19.99 for a 1400 point card, but if you want to get all the themes and picture packs you'll want to grab a 2800 point card at $39.99 .
